Wore my Oppo shirt to the job today. Got asked about a dozen times what it meant. I explained that it was short for oppositelock. "What is that", I was asked multiple times. After explaining it, very few understood.

Yeah, I tried to get compensated but could not get approval. Who cares, cool shirt and starts conversation with people. When I go to car shows, you would be surprised how many people are aware of it. Mostly lurkers.

Well, if you're tired of explaining your shirt to non-car people, then grab a Sharpie and write "It's an American-based car forum called OppositeLock, or Oppo for short, with entertaining and informative posts that were written by foreigners." :P

I guess that I did not make it as clear as it should have been. Oppositelock is a term to describe a maneuver you use to navigate things like slick roads, whether loose gravel or snow and ice. Counter steering is another descriptive term.

Starting to think you are no different than the people I talked to. But I love to talk to people. Don't care, really, where they fit. Love to all in the family.

No, you do not understand. I was not explaining to the folks about it being a blog or forum. I was trying to be basic and explain what the literal meaning was and that the term "Oppo" stood for, "oppositelock". You have to take baby steps with people who do not know. If they understood, I would tell them it is also the name of a car based blog/forum that I comment on.

I had to go with orange on white. Too hot in the summer to wear dark colors. White does not last as long cause it shows any stain.
